Tiling FAQs

Do I supply the tiles and adhesive or does the tiler?

Either works. You can supply your own tiles and we'll include adhesive, grout and sundries in the quote — or your tiler can source everything. It's all itemised in your upfront price so you can compare.

Do you prepare the surface before tiling?

Yes. Sound preparation is part of every job — we'll level floors, fit backer board where needed, and prime surfaces so your tiles bond properly and sit flat. Poor prep is the main cause of tiles cracking or lifting later.

Can you just regrout rather than retile?

Absolutely. If the tiles are sound, raking out tired grout and silicone and renewing it transforms a bathroom for a fraction of a full retile. Your tiler will advise honestly on what's worth doing.

Is the tiling guaranteed?

Yes. All Fixie tiling is covered by our workmanship guarantee. If a tile works loose or grout fails within the guarantee period due to workmanship, we'll return and put it right at no charge.
