Electrical FAQs

Will I get a certificate after the work?

Yes. For notifiable work (new circuits, consumer unit changes, bathroom electrical work), your electrician will issue the relevant Building Regulations certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate.

Do I need to turn the power off before the visit?

No — your electrician will isolate only the circuits needed for the work. The rest of your home will typically stay powered throughout.

Are your electricians Part P registered?

All Fixie electricians are registered with a government-approved Part P scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or equivalent), allowing them to self-certify notifiable electrical work.

Can you quote for rewiring the whole house?

Full rewires are priced after a free survey due to the complexity involved. Request a job on Fixie and select Electrical — your pro will assess on site and provide an upfront quote for you to approve before starting.
